ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Michelle
WHERE I COME FROM
I grew up in Winona. My grandfather, George Wenzel, was a share-cropper (farmer) in Wiscoy Valley. He met and married my Grandmother, Nellie (Ford) Wenzel, and started his family with an eye on spending his future farming the land of Winona. My mother, Jane Alexander, spent her early life chasing chickens and cows. It was a wonderful life. The Wenzel's moved into town in 1953 and Grandpa went to work for Bay State Milling where he stayed for the next 32 years.
My father, Michael Alexander, was an transplant from Hopkins Minnesota. He met my mother at Winona State College and fell in love with her charms and fried chicken.
My father saw Winona as a place of great opportunity. So after serving during the Vietnam War he made the permanent move to this community. He started his Property management company and dreamed of the day when his children would join him in the business. He found the perfect place to live his best life. That is all I want for every Winonan: The Opportunity to live your best life.
